Making Mac OS 10.13.3 installation disk

app store download macOS High Sierra

Only the latest version of Mac OS can be downloaded. The old version has been removed. There are two situations, one is the app with the size of 19M, and the other is the app with the size of 5G. Former reference Creating a macOS High Sierra Installation ISO Image , the latter refers to Making macOS High Sierra 10.13 bootable installation portable disk and ISO image file . I downloaded the 19M app, the former for reference.

Make installation image

Prepare a U disk first, and use it in the diskpart of windows

sele disk x
clean
convert gpt
#Sometimes when the efi partition of the disk is less than 200M, erasing on the mac will fail, indicating that there is not enough space
create partition efi size=300

Convert to gpt format and erase the USB flash disk in Mac OS. Then, open the App where macOS High Sierra is installed, and select the U disk. At this time, the installation program starts to download the installation image. When the download is completed and needs to be restarted, exit and start to make the installation image.

#Merge the downloaded image into the installation app
mv "/macOS Install Data/*" "/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/SharedSupport"
#Create and mount a disk
hdiutil create -o /tmp/HighSierra -size 12800m -layout SPUD -fs HFS+J -type SPARSE
hdiutil attach /tmp/HighSierra.sparseimage -noverify -nobrowse -mountpoint /Volumes/Untitled
#Create a bootable disk
caffeinate asr restore -source "/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/SharedSupport/BaseSystem.dmg" -target /Volumes/Untitled -noprompt -noverify -erase
#Replace the installed app
sudo rm -rf "/Volumes/OS X Base System/Install macOS High Sierra.app"
caffeinate sudo cp -a "/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app" "/Volumes/OS X Base System/"
cp "/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/InstallAssistant.icns" "/Volumes/OS X Base System/.VolumeIcon.icns"
SetFile -a C "/Volumes/OS X Base System/"
diskutil rename "OS X Base System" "Install macOS High Sierra"
hdiutil detach "/Volumes/Install macOS High Sierra"
hdiutil resize -size min /tmp/HighSierra.sparseimage
caffeinate hdiutil convert /tmp/HighSierra.sparseimage -format UDTO -o /tmp/HighSierra
mv /tmp/HighSierra.cdr /tmp/HighSierra.iso
#Enter the installation interface, create the installation disk, start the installation, turn off the power to enter the firmware, restart from the CD, and copy the installation image to the installation disk.
cp "/Volumes/Install macOS High Sierra/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESDDmg.pkg" "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/macOS Install Data/"

unlocker

Under normal circumstances, VMware is not allowed to install Mac OS and requires patch. github Download DrDonk/unlocker , right click the administrator to open win-install.cmd, install normally, modify the configuration file before power on, and add:

smc.version = "0"

Finally, search the app store for xcode installation.
